Chris Brown’s latest video for “Autumn Leaves” finds him journeying to foreign lands and wearing the swords of a samurai.
The video eschews traditional music video tropes (with the exception of one rather out of place girl in a bikini) in favor of cherry blossoms and Buddha statues. While the imagery is largely Eastern, the video was in fact shot in the lush rainforest of Hawaii.

Brown’s girlfriend Karrueche Tran co-stars as his robe-clad lover in the video. They keep things very PG though: Chris Brown gives her no more than a peck on the forehead during a romantic hail of blossoms.
The song features Kendrick Lamar, who doesn’t seem to have made it to the shoot; instead, he is an invisible voice from above. Chris Brown raps quietly along to some of his verse.
